Prosecution in Local Criminal Courts

Each year, the District Attorney's Office prosecutes thousands of criminal cases in the twenty-two justice courts throughout Ulster County. Assistant District Attorneys are required to appear in all of these courts which meet both day and night. In Ulster County, the Assistant District Attorneys must be present in court from arraignment through disposition.

Kingston City Court

Ulster County has one City Court located in the City of Kingston. The District Attorney's Office prosecutes all cases in the Kingston City Court and the Ulster County Domestic Violence Court. The District Attorney has a designated liaison to the Ulster County Regional Drug Treatment Court, which also meets in City Court.
