Due to the forecasted winter storm, Ulster County Government will be operating on a delayed schedule, opening at 12 noon on Monday, February 23. *This does not apply to the County’s 24/7 operations or facilities*
Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger and Emergency Services will assess conditions Monday morning, and any additional updates will be posted to the County website ulstercountyny.gov/emergency-notices and County social media channels.
Please note that UCAT service will be suspended beginning at 4 PM on Sunday, February 22, until further notice.
DPW crews will also be out clearing snow on County roads, as they always do. Please avoid unnecessary travel during the storm. If you must drive, our road closure map displays road closures using data from the County's public safe system, and the road conditions map shows real-time traffic updates and road conditions based on Waze data.
The County will have two warming centers open for those in need: one at Segunda Iglesias Church at 80 Elmendorf St. in Kington, which is open 24/7, and a second warming center at the Hunt Memorial Building at 124 Canal St in Ellenville, which will be operating on a 24/7 schedule until Tuesday.
The County’s Emergency Operations Center is currently in operation, and will continue through Monday. For additional information on storm response, visit ulstercountyny.gov/Departments/Emergency-Services
