Ulster County Continues To Be Vigilant In Its Efforts To Stop Welfare Fraud

Kingston, N.Y. – Ulster County Executive Mike Hein announces that an arrest was made under the County’s “Zero Tolerance” Anti-Fraud, Waste and Abuse Program.

“Preventing Welfare fraud prior to the perpetrator actually receiving the unwarranted benefits is extremely important and I commend our Department of Social Services Special Investigative Unit (SIU) and the Offices of Ulster County District Attorney Holley Carnright and Ulster County Sheriff Paul Van Blarcum for their vigilance in enforcing our `Zero Tolerance´ Program,” said County Executive Mike Hein.  “Ulster County citizens can assist in this effort by reporting any suspicions of fraud or abuse to the SIU hotline number at 1-855-SIU-Tips.”
