ULSTER COUNTY LEGISLATIVE NEWS: Health Insurance Questions To Be Answered At Session At Boiceville Inn

Posted March 5, 2014

Are you a small business owner seeking to understand the new requirements under the new Affordable Care Act? Are you a self-employed individual seeking answers as to the health insurance options, programs and services available to you and your family? Did you hear about the new Health Homes initiative and wondered what it was?

These answers can found at the Health Insurance Information Session scheduled for 5:00 – 8:00 PM on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at the Boiceville Inn, Route 28, Boiceville, New York. The event, sponsored by Ulster County Legislative Chairman John Parete, is being held in partnership with The Institute for Family Health.

“We have all heard about the Federal starts and stops to this new health insurance program”, Parete said. “It is time for the experts to explain these programs, answer questions and clear up some of the confusion.”

Experts will be available to help navigate the Health Exchange, explain what Health Homes are and help participants understand how to enroll.

Session co-sponsor, fellow Ulster County Legislator and Chairman of the Public Health and Social Services Committee of the Ulster County Legislature, Craig Lopez, stated, “I, as many in Ulster County, have serious concerns as to the effect of Obamacare on both individuals and businesses in my community. I look forward to the Institute for Family Health, a true asset in Ulster County, shedding some light on those concerns.“
