Jail Visiting Hours and Rules

ATTENTION VISITORS

NY Governor Andrew M. Cuomo, has declared a state of emergency in New York State, and Ulster County Executive Pat K. Ryan has initiated the Emergency Operational Center due to a confirmed case of COVID-19 Corona Virus. New York State has seen numerous recent confirmed cases. Due to the contagiousness of this virus, the Ulster County Jail is suspending all regular visits and programs for the safety of the population and our employees for the next thirty {30) days. 

All legal and clergy visits will occur in the non­contact visiting rooms. All requests for emergency visits will be granted on a case by case basis, and will also take place in the non-contact visiting rooms. These requests will be by approval and appointment. 

This is effective March 10th 2020 


Visiting times are as follows:

Visit 1: 8:30am. You must be in the lobby to sign in between 7:45 and 8:15am.
Visit 2: 10:15am. You must be in the lobby to sign in between 9:30 and 10:00 am.
Visit 3: 1:15pm. You must be in the lobby to sign in between 12:30 and 1:00 pm.

If you are not in the lobby by those times you will not be entitled to visit for that time period.

  • Please bring a photo ID.
  • No packages or deliveries allowed.
  • Two visitors allowed per inmate.
  • Each inmate is allowed two 1-hour visits per week.
