Ellenville Warming Center to Open Ahead of Major Winter Storm

The center will open at Hunt Memorial Building on Saturday, Jan. 24, at 5PM, ahead of a major winter storm forecasted to bring heavy snowfall across the region. The warming center is being activated in partnership with the Village of Ellenville and the Town of Wawarsing, and will be operated by 2nda Iglesia La Misión Church, which also operates the Kingston Warming Center.

This approach makes local health data more transparent and accessible, enabling residents, community partners, health and medical professionals, and policymakers to explore health trends, disparities, and the social determinants of health across the County.

County to Launch Agricultural Sustainability Revolving Loan Fund

In a major step forward for Ulster County’s agricultural community, the Ulster County Legislature has approved County Executive Jen Metzger’s proposal to establish an Ulster County Agricultural Sustainability Revolving Loan Fund, a new low‑cost lending program designed to provide accessible, flexible, and affordable capital to small and mid‑sized farm enterprises.
