Toni Roser Announces Retirement as Director of UCAT

Ulster County today announced that Toni Roser, Director of Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT), will retire at the end of October after nearly two decades of service in public transportation. Deputy Director Kevin Fournier will serve as Interim Director while the County conducts a search for Roser’s successor.

Albany and Ulster Avenue Corridor Management Plan Public Workshop

The Ulster County Transportation Council (UCTC), in partnership with the City of Kingston, the Town of Ulster, and the New York State Department of Transportation, is inviting the public to participate in the development of the Albany and Ulster Avenue Corridor Management Plan (CMP). A public workshop will be held on Tuesday, October 20, from 4 PM to 6:30 PM at 5 Development Court.

Katherine DeWitt Appointed as Agricultural Services Administrator

Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger today announced the appointment of Katherine DeWitt as the County’s Agricultural Services Program Administrator in the Department of Economic Development. DeWitt will lead the development and implementation of programs that support Ulster County’s diverse farms and expand value-added production, in close coordination with the farming community.

Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger announced today updated plans for an Ulster County Economic Futures Summit: Over the coming months, the Economic Development Department will convene a series of sector-intensive Mini-Summits, beginning with Value‑Added Agriculture & Food Production on Tuesday, October 27, at Ulster BOCES Career Academies at iPark 87.
