The Ulster County Board of Ethics was established pursuant to the Chapter 44 Ethics and Disclosure Law (Local Law 11 of 2008 which took effect on January 1, 2009).   The Board of Ethics ensures the highest standard of conduct and provides transparency through the collection and review of Annual Statement of Financial Disclosure Forms.  The Board of Ethics is also responsible for rendering advisory opinions and addressing complaints or allegations of conflict of interest regarding any officer or employee of Ulster County.

The Ulster County Board of Ethics consists of five (5) members appointed by the Ulster County Executive and confirmed by the Ulster County Legislature.  No more than two (2) members can be of the same political party.
