Kingston, NY – Ulster County Executive Mike Hein announced today that the Ulster County Senior Games will begin in May. The 2011 Senior Games program is a partnership of Care Alternatives, Health Alliance of the Hudson Valley, Ulster County Office for the Aging, Resource Center for Accessible Living and Woodland Pond.
County Executive Hein says, "For the first time ever the DEP requested permission from the DEC to conduct limited releases from the waste channel in consultation with Ulster County."

Kingston, NY – In an effort to streamline government and further promote health and wellness, County Executive Mike Hein announced today his intention to explore the consolidation of the county’s Mental Health Department with the Ulster County Health Department. Ulster County Commissioner of Mental Health, Edward Brown, Ph. D, announced last week that he will retire effective the end of March.
