Magazine to be distributed in Ulster County and throughout the Country
Kingston, N.Y. (May 20, 2011) – Ulster County Executive Mike Hein today unveiled the 2011 Ulster County Travel Guide, which breaks new ground, adding several exciting dimensions that make this publication both user-friendly and interactive.
Kingston, N.Y. – County Executive Mike Hein is pleased to announce that Ulster County Public Defender Andrew Kossover recently applied for and secured $65,000 in additional funding from New York State's Indigent Defense Legal Fund. The funds will be used to pay for New York State mandated legal services for Ulster County’s low income residents in criminal courts and in Family Court.
Kingston, N.Y. – Citing his commitment to the "tradition of Florence Nightingale’s health agenda" and for "adding his own innovations from the 21st century," Ulster County Executive Mike Hein was awarded the 2011 Honorary Recognition Award for Distinguished Service to the Profession of Nursing and the Community.

Kingston, NY- Ulster County Executive Mike Hein announced that Ulster County Commissioner of Finance Paul J. Hewitt completed and filed the 2010 Ulster County Annual Financial Report with the New York State Comptroller on April 29, 2011. “In 2010 we instituted the Taxpayer First Initiative to close a significant budget gap and deliver a 2011 budget with no County property tax increase,” said Ulster County Executive Mike Hein. “I have made it my top priority to protect the residents of Ulster County from government overspending and waste.
