Ellenville – County Executive Mike Hein announced that the Ulster County Office for the Aging will soon be offering expanded legal services for senior citizens in southern Ulster County. Starting in March, the Office for the Aging will have an attorney available at the Trudy Resnick Farber Building at 50 Center Street in Ellenville to assist with legal services.

"I am delighted to announce that we now have additional services available to the senior citizens in Southern Ulster County," said County Executive Mike Hein. "I have made it a priority in my administration to ensure that the Towns in southern Ulster County, such as Wawarsing and Shawangunk receive the same level of attention as the rest of our County. This expansion of services by the Office of the Aging is another great example of how our County employees are doing more with less."


"The legal services program is an important part of the services delivered by Ulster County Office for the Aging," said Office for the Aging Director Anne Cardinale. "It is important that in these difficult times we continue to find innovative ways to increase services."


Appointments will be scheduled from 1:00pm - 4:00pm every second Wednesday of every other month. The following dates will now be available for seniors to schedule legal consultation at the Ellenville location:


March 9th (1- 4pm)


May 11th (1- 4pm)


July 13th (1- 4pm)


September 14th (1- 4pm)


November 9th (1- 4pm)


Office for the Aging legal services provides clients with advice on: Powers of Attorney, Health Care Directives (Living Wills and Health Care Proxy), legal rights & spousal responsibilities, Guardianship, and other legal issues pertaining to senior citizens. Office for the Aging also provides legal services every Wednesday from 9:00am to 12:00pm at 1003 Development Ct. in Kingston. Legal services are available to Ulster County residents age 60 and over.
