"In concept, I am supportive of New York State’s proposal to move Belleayre Mountain Ski Resort under the purview of the Olympic Regional Development Authority (ORDA). ORDA will keep the facility in public hands, provide a management structure with ski facility experience and protect our local environment. This commitment to the long-term capital investment in the Belleayre Mountain Ski Center is good news for the tourism economy of Ulster County.

"Now, the important details must be worked out. ORDA must provide Ulster County and Belleayre Mountain Ski Resort sufficient seats on its board to ensure appropriate representation. I look forward to working with our state elected representatives as we move forward in this process."
