HEALTH INSURANCE INFORMATION SESSION POSTPONED

Posted February 11, 2014

The Health Insurance Information Session scheduled for Thursday, February 13th at the Boiceville Inn has been postponed due to the forecast for heavy snowfall.   The event, sponsored by John Parete, Chairman of the Ulster County Legislature in cooperation with The Institute for Family Health, will be rescheduled at a date to be determined next month.

“I know people are eager to understand these new health insurance options”, Parete said. “We want to insure that the experts can be there to explain these programs, answer questions and clear up some of the confusion.”

The event is planned to help UlsterCounty residents learn about health insurance options, programs and services available for individuals and families.  The sponsors hope to clear the confusion about the Affordable Care Act, what it means to them personally and explain available health care options. Experts will be available to help navigate the Health Exchange, explain what Health Homes are and help participants understand how to enroll.

Watch your local paper for the event to be rescheduled in March and make your plans to attend.
