It has been determined by the Ulster County Department of Public Works that a large culvert on
Springtown Road located approximately 1.2 miles north of the intersection with Mountain Rest Road
in the Town of New Paltz requires replacement. The construction is set to begin on Tuesday April 4,
2017. Construction is estimated to be completed in June.
The Ulster County Department of Public Works is performing the replacement work. In order to
accomplish this work, it will be necessary to close a portion of Springtown Road in the Town of New
Paltz to all thru traffic effective Tuesday April 4, 2017. The closed section of roadway will begin
north of the intersection with Kleinekill Road and extend to the intersection with Dug Road.
Traffic may use Dug Road west for 0.9 miles to Kleinekill Road east for 1.2 miles.
