AMENDED QUALIFYING EXPERIENCE FOR TAKING THE TEST:  At the time of examination, candidates must have eighteen (18) months permanent, competitive class status in the position of Deputy Sheriff – Detective Sergeant or in the position of Deputy Sheriff – First Sergeant, OR, candidates must have thirty-six (36) months permanent, competitive class status in the position of Deputy Sheriff – Sergeant.  Candidates must be presently employed by the Ulster County Sheriff’s Office.
