Kingston, NY – Ulster County Executive Mike Hein is pleased to announce Ulster County’s 2015 TOP COP award winners. The awards were issued today at a ceremony held at the SUNY Ulster Stone Ridge Campus.
The ceremony, sponsored by Ulster County’s STOP DWI Program, was held in recognition of those law enforcement officers who have excelled in their region. The Key Note Address was delivered by Ulster County Executive Mike Hein.
“I want to congratulate all the honorees recognized at the 2014 TOP COP Awards and thank them for their service,” said County Executive Hein. “Ulster County is fortunate to have professional law enforcement personnel whom are dedicated to protecting Ulster County residents. It is a privilege to honor them and thank them for their commitment and service. I want to personally congratulate Sheriff Paul Van Blarcum and his outstanding team, Captain Robert Nuzzo and the New York State Troopers, as well as the many other courageous law enforcement officers in our towns throughout Ulster County.”

1st place – Officer Ryan A Hampel, Saugerties Police Department
2nd place – Officer Carmine Fuoco, New Paltz Police Department
ULSTER COUNTY SHERIFF:
1st place- Deputy Emmett Vedder
2nd place- Deputy Kyle Frano
NYS POLICE- Troop F:
1st place – Trooper Mark D. Baney
2nd Place- Trooper Matthew J. Fertoli
SPECIAL RECOGNITION AWARDS were also presented to:
Trooper Joseph M. Alma
Trooper Thomas E. Lansing Jr.
Awards are based on total of DWI related arrests made between October 1,2013 through September 30, 2014.
