Ulster County Warming Center OPEN - Overnight Hours

Kingston, NY –The Ulster County Warming Center located at the Clinton Avenue United Methodist Church located at 122 Clinton Avenue in Kingston will be open with overnight hours (7p.m. – 7a.m.) Monday (4/9) and Tuesday (4/10).  The warming center will provide a warm shelter, a hot evening meal and breakfast as well as related services at the Church 24-hours a day.  The center will be staffed by American Red Cross trained volunteers and will welcome homeless adults, ages eighteen and above.

“As temperatures continue to fall below freezing, it is important to make the County’s Warming Center available for those individuals who are without shelter and could find themselves in a life or death situation.  We are fortunate to be able to partner with the Clinton Avenue United Methodist Church to provide a warming center for some of the most vulnerable members of our local community,” said County Executive Mike Hein. “This ensures that those among us most in need have access to a warm bed, a warm meal, and access to support services that can help when they need it most.”

Any homeless adult is encouraged to go to the warming center or if you know someone who is in a desperate situation or is homeless, they can contact the Family of Woodstock hotline which can be reached 24 hours-a-day at 845-679-2485.
