On behalf of Ulster County, Commissioner of Jurors Paul O’Neill and County Clerk Nina Postupack are proud to announce the Bicentennial Celebration of the Ulster County Courthouse on Thursday, November 15th, 2018 from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm, with events and exhibits throughout the day.

9:00 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. Historical Display in County Court Lobby, including:
- The original New York State Constitution written by Founding Father and first United States Supreme Court Chief Justice John Jay and approved by the NYS Constitutional Convention in Kingston on April 20, 1777.
- The 1658 Stockade Agreement between Kingston’s original settlers and Director-General Peter Stuyvesant. It was this Agreement that created Kingston’s Stockade District, still intact today.
- The Minutes of the Opening of the Dutch Court in Wiltwyck (now Kingston), July 12, 1661.
- The 1664 Nicolls Treaty between Governor Richard Nicolls and the Esopus Natives ending the Second Esopus War. This Treaty was continually renewed by the parties thereafter as a demonstration of peace until 1745.
- The 1664 Wampum Belt given by the Esopus Sachems to Gov. Nicholls as a token of this peace following the end of the Second Esopus War.
- The 1734 Proportion List setting forth the Tax Liability for each Town and Manor for the Construction of a Courthouse and Jail.
- The Sojourner Truth Bond issued by the Ulster County Court, 1828.
