Welcome to the Ulster County Department of Health. We offer a wide range of services and programs to County residents designed to prevent illness and ensure their well–being.

We are proud of our activities in regulating and monitoring community health, educating the public about health issues and concerns, and working with a broad spectrum of community partners to provide health programs and services that directly benefit the people of Ulster County.

Heart Disease is the Leading Cause of Death in Ulster County - and the Nation: Ulster County Health Department has put together a team of health and wellness professionals, and community partners, to create a plan to reduce the heart disease fatality rate in out community.
