Economic Development Events

  • Tue, Oct 24, 2017 - 4:00 pm to 5:30 pm

Whether you've worked with film productions already, or are new to the game; whether you're an accountant, a medic, a caterer or a landscaper; whether you own a building you think is film-worthy or a home that you'd like to make available for film cast and crew - this event is for everyone!

Have you noticed the film crews roaming throughout Ulster County this year? Thanks to the recent expansion of the NYS Film Tax Credit, which was spearheaded by Ulster County Executive Mike Hein, business is booming with more productions and spending in the first quarter of 2017 than in the entirety of 2016 and years prior.

But the million dollar question is "how does MY business get a piece of the pie?"

Ulster County Executive Mike Hein, the Ulster County Office of Economic Development and the Hudson Valley Film Commission are pleased to invite you to attend one of the two upcoming workshops on how you can do more business with the film industry. During the workshop, our team will answer questions such as:

    • What kind of vendors does the film industry need?
    • How do I get my business onto production vendor lists?
    • What else can I do to put my business in front of the decision-makers in the film industry?

NOTE: This event will be held twice, at different locations and times. Both events will cover the same material, so we encourage you to pick the date/place that is most convenient for you.
