KINGSTON, N.Y. – “Governor Cuomo’s announcement of a new New York State Park along the Hudson River is tremendously exciting and has the potential to be transformational, both for Ulster County and our entire region. The move to purchase Scenic Hudson’s recently acquired 508 acres – straddling Kingston and the Town of Ulster – for State stewardship will enable an extraordinary level of resources unlocking boundless possibilities. This acquisition will accelerate crucial economic growth linked to our expanding tourism industry and allow more residents and visitors to enjoy the natural beauty of Ulster County and the majestic Hudson River. I look forward to working with our state and local partners in creating a destination that will benefit our County and beyond as a world-class natural resource.”
