Ulster County Pool Closed for Season Due to Ongoing Issues

Posted July 8, 2024

The Department of Public Works (DPW) announced today that the Ulster County Pool, located at 241 Libertyville Road in New Paltz, will be closed for the season due to ongoing water loss issues. Engineers are assessing the situation, and more information will be forthcoming next week.

Last week, the County pool experienced a significant loss of water. DPW consulted with engineers and attempted multiple remedies to stem the water loss, including replacing valves, and working on the gutter system and gravity lines, but unfortunately, water loss continues. Due to these ongoing issues, the pool will remain closed for the entirety of the 2024 season.

We apologize for the inconvenience. Information regarding the process for Season Pass refunds, and other information regarding alternatively available pools within the County, will be forthcoming next week.
