Kingston, NY – Today, Ulster County Executive Mike Hein proclaimed the first week of June 2012 CPR and AED Awareness Week in Ulster County in order to encourage County residents to learn how to administer Cardio-Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and use an Automated External Defibrillator (AED). Knowing how to use CPR and an AED equips people with the ability to act quickly in a crisis and saves lives.

Kingston, NY – With the goal of keeping seniors safe and independent on the road, County Executive Mike Hein, together with the Ulster County Office for the Aging and Ulster Federal Credit Union, will be hosting a program called Keeping Seniors in the Driver’s Seat. On Wednesday, May 16 from 9 AM to noon at the Business Resource Center in Room 114, a panel of experts will present relevant information as well as answer questions seniors may have about driving.
