Kingston, NY – September is National Preparedness Month (NPM) and Ulster County Executive Mike Hein has announced the County’s support for this important initiative. The event, now in its eleventh year, is a nationwide, month-long effort started by the Ready Campaign and Citizen Corps, encouraging households, businesses and communities to prepare and plan for emergencies.

The Renovated Bridge Was Completed Ahead Of Schedule And Under Budget
Kingston, NY – Ulster County Executive Mike Hein announces that the “Hurley Bridge” which is a critical link that spans the Esopus Creek in Hurley is now open for all motorists, cyclists and pedestrians to travel. The advanced design of the bridge is engineered to allow for greater views of picturesque Hurley, including its beautiful farmland and stone houses, while being able to accommodate increased traffic and greater weight for generations to come.
The Patriots Project Is Now A Reality Thanks To The Overwhelming Support Of The Community
Kingston, NY – County Executive Mike Hein announces the dedication and open house of the Ulster County Patriots Project at 1:00 P.M. on July 2nd. The County Executive recently met with Boy Scout Jesse Joy who installed the flag poles at the home as part of his Eagle Scout project, as well as Michael and Patricia Ruane from the Phoenicia Rotary, who assisted in the landscaping around the house. They are just some of the over 140 individuals, businesses and organizations who have helped make the Patriots Project a reality.
