Ulster County Executive Mike Hein Applauds Excellent Audit Conducted By New York State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli

Kingston, NY – The office of New York State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli has issued a report entitled “County of Ulster Property Tax Exemptions” subsequent to an audit of Ulster County’s Real Property Tax Service Agency. The primary subject of this audit was the proper application of real property tax exemptions. Not only was the report and audit overwhelmingly positive, it found that there were no material deficiencies and “commend(ed) County officials for designing and implementing effective controls over property tax exemptions.”
