Kingston, NY – Ulster County Executive Mike Hein proclaims the month of September as Recovery Month in Ulster County. This is a national event promoted by the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) within the U.S.
Kingston, N.Y. – Ulster County Executive Mike Hein has signed an historic seven year memorandum of agreement between Ulster County and the Ulster County Deputy Sheriff’s PBA, including the Ulster County Superior Officers Unit (SOU). These bargaining units represent 83 deputies and officers within the Ulster County Sheriff’s Department. Pursuant to the agreement, which cover the years 2010 through 2017, the employees represented by the PBA and the SOU will receive an annual 2% wage increase with no retroactive payments due for January 1, 2010 to July 1, 2013.
Kingston, NY – September is National Preparedness Month (NPM) and Ulster County Executive Mike Hein has announced the County’s support for this important initiative. This event, now in its twelfth year, is a nationwide, month-long effort started by the Ready Campaign, encouraging households, businesses and communities to prepare and plan for emergencies. The 2015 National Preparedness Month theme is “Don’t Wait. Communicate. Make Your Emergency Plan Today,” which encourages everyone to make a plan to know what to do during an emergency.
The Reconstructed Bridge Was Completed Ahead Of Schedule And Under Budget
Kingston, NY – Ulster County Executive Mike Hein announces that the Mount Marion Bridge also known as the “3 RRR’s Bridge,” a critical thoroughfare over the Plattekill Creek at the Saugerties/Ulster border, has been reconstructed and is now open for all motorists to safely travel.
