DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: The work involves responsibility for the performance of manual and unskilled work.  The work is carried out in accordance with established procedures and involves heavy work requiring physical endurance.  The work is performed under the direct supervision of a higher level employee.  Supervision of others is not normally a function of the class.  Does related work as required.

Special Requirements: Incumbents who operate motor equipment must possess an appropriate level New York State Driver's License.
