Ulster County DA’s Office Announces Defendant Naseem Pass’ Guilty Plea To Criminal Possession Of A Weapon In The Second Degree

KINGSTON, NY – On September 7, 2023, Naseem Pass, age 25, of Albany, pled guilty to Criminal Possession of a Weapon in the Second Degree, a class C felony, before the Honorable Bryan E. Rounds.   

An Ulster County Grand Jury indicted the defendant for possessing a loaded firearm, specifically a 9mm Taurus pistol with a defaced serial number, following a traffic stop. Both the driver of the vehicle and the defendant attempted to flee on foot and were apprehended by members of the New York State Police. The loaded pistol was recovered in the center console of the Nissan Sentra. 

The defendant is scheduled to be sentenced on November 21. The driver’s case is pending appearance later this month in Ulster County Court. Both cases are being prosecuted by Assistant District Attorney Kristen Druse, Gun Violence Unit Chief.
