Public Meeting Notice For Expansion Of Service On 4/25 (English)

KINGSTON, N.Y. - The Public is advised that Ulster County Area Transit (UCAT), a provider of public bus transit services in Ulster County that offers fixed-route bus and paratransit transportation services is currently considering expanding service within the City of Kingston in response an agreement between the City and the County to offerexpanded service within the City.

A public informational meeting will be held on Thursday, April 25, 2019 at the Ulster County Transit Center, 1 Danny Circle, Kingston, NY 12401 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The meeting will provide information on the proposed expansion of service in the City of Kington and an opportunity for public comments.

The proposed service expansion includes introduction of three new routes servicing the City of Kingston. All route changes are currently scheduled to go into effect July 1, 2019. The new route maps will be made available prior to the meeting on Ulster County’s UCAT web page at https://ulstercountyny.gov/ucat/bus-schedules

Detailed descriptions of the proposed expanded service routes will be made available at the meeting and UCAT representatives will be available at the meeting to answer questions and discuss the proposed service changes. 

Public comment may be given verbally or in writing. To assure full participation at the meeting, accommodations for effective communication, such as sign language interpreters, printed materials in alternate formats, or a language interpreter for non-English speaking participants, must be requested at least five (5) working days prior to the date of the scheduled event. Requests for ADA accommodations or a language interpreter should be directed to the UCAT Title VI Officer at 845-340-3335.
