KINGSTON, NY – On October 31, 2024, Carlos Ayala, age 39, a parolee from the State of Connecticut, was sentenced in Ulster County Court by the Honorable Bryan E. Rounds to five years in State Prison following a guilty plea to Strangulation in the Second Degree, a class D felony.

She was to me a genuine example of a public servant – from the way she conducted herself and her office, including the way I observed her treat her employees and DMV clerks in the County Office building. Posted: October 3, 2024KINGSTON, NY—Joseph Karolys, age 39, of Saugerties, was sentenced to 25 years in State Prison, plus five years of post-release supervision, to run concurrently on his convictions of Manslaughter in the First Degree and Assault in the First Degree.
