Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger has submitted a resolution to purchase a new office building located on Joys Lane in Kingston to consolidate the various offices of the Ulster County District Attorney, the Family and Child Advocacy Center, and the Crime Victims program of the Probation Department at one centralized location.
In celebration of Hudson Valley Climate Solutions Week (September 13 - 29), Ulster County Executive Jen Metzger today unveiled the County's EV ARC™ vehicle charging station, an innovative charging facility that is entirely off the grid, powered by solar and equipped with battery storage, that can be used in remote areas with limited grid access as well as during power outages, helping bolster resilience to the impacts of climate change.
Kingston, NY— Ty Kobelt, 33, of Gardiner, NY pleaded guilty in Ulster County Court on September 18, 2024 before the Honorable Bryan Rounds to the charges of Manslaughter in the Second Degree and Leaving the Scene of an Incident without Reporting, stemming from a fatal hit-and-run resulting in the death of 22-year-old SUNY New Paltz student, Raymond Rattray, in January of this year.
